Economy与Economics有何不同？Economy常见解释有二，其一指城市、国家的工商金融状况或体系；其二指「节约」，包括金钱、资源、时间的节约。例如：(1) The economy of Great Britain these days is nowhere near as strong as it was in the early years of the century(比起本世纪初时的状况，今日英国的经济真是一落千丈)。 (2) For reasons of economy, it is best not to leave the lights on all night long(为了节约，最好不要整晚亮看灯)。(3) Apart from working hard to find new clients, there should be plans for all to practice a little economy if we want to survive the downturn in business(要捱过生意不景的难关，除了努力找新的客之外，还要有让员工实行节约的计划)。Economics是「经济学」。而economics of scale是指大量生产某货品时，因单位成本减少，令公司利润增加。
